Welcome to Casa Laguna Inn & Spa

Operated as a tranquil alternative to bustling family-style resorts, Casa Laguna Inn & Spa is the perfect place for a romantic getaway or a relaxing escape from work and worry. Built on a terraced hillside in the 1920s and 40s, today’s Casa Laguna is often compared the to the Mission-style villas of Spain. In order to assure a romantic, calming ambiance, room occupancy is limited to a maximum of two persons regardless of age. Accordingly, our inn would not be suitable for children, infants, groups, or events. Our guests can relax on a garden patio, schedule a massage and therapeutic soak, or take a picnic to nearby Victoria Beach. Our inn is only 1.5 miles from downtown Laguna Beach shops, restaurants, art galleries, and renowned summer art festivals. Public transportation is available just outside our door. Our inn is famous for fabulous gourmet breakfasts. We have been recognized as one of the Top 25 Small Hotels and Top 10 Hotels for Romance in the United States, as well one of the Top Ten Luxury Inns in the world. Read more...

My Top Ten Favorite Things About Laguna Beach -- Part II

This second entry in our series is by Jessie A., Casa Laguna Guest Service Associate. Although Jessie grew up in Laguna Hills, regular visits to Laguna Beach have been an integral part of her life in Orange County. As you can see, her 10 Favorites list represents a lifetime of discovery and fondness for all things Laguna Beach.

1.    Treasure Island Park is my favorite place to take my dog for a walk.  The park, which is adjacent to the Montage Resort, is always clean and well maintained, with well-placed park benches along the trails that afford wonderful views of the ocean and shoreline. And Treasure Island Beach is great for exploring tide pools or just enjoying the sand and waves.
2.    The First Thursday Art Walk really captures the artistic spirit of Laguna Beach and is a favorite even for me and my friends. Many of the galleries have music and complimentary drinks and food, and often the artists are there to give insight into their work. Good vibes are always happening at this event.
3.    Gelato Paradiso is a great place to grab some delicious gelato and walk around downtown and Main Beach.
4.    The Rooftop Lounge, above K’ya Bistro, is a favorite place to enjoy a drink and some appetizers while taking in the ocean view or a great Laguna sunset. My friends and I really enjoy happy hour, from 3pm to 5pm Monday through Friday.
5.    I love to check out the latest artworks at the Laguna Beach Art Museum. The art there ranges from the works of students to California artists and others from around the world.
6.    My fondest childhood memories are of beautiful Victoria Beach, which is just a short walk from Casa Laguna. This is a great beach to lay down and soak up some rays, swim, or explore the rocky shoreline leading to the famous turret tower and adjacent concrete swimming pool from the 1920s. (See photo above.)
7.    One of my other favorite beaches for swimming and soaking in the sun is Thousand Steps. And getting down there and back is great exercise.
8.    When I’m in the mood for a great fish dish, I head for the House of Big Fish and Ice Cold Beer, on Coast Highway near downtown Laguna.
9.    My favorite store for eclectic and unique surf apparel is Thalia Surf Shop, also on PCH near downtown. They have clothes designed by local artists as well as national brands.
10.    Coyote Grill, in South Laguna, is one of my favorite places for good Mexican food with an ocean view. It’s a very informal place where locals gather, with an active bar and great happy hour.
