Laguna Beach a la Carte—A Food & Wine Experience Starts Today

This inaugural foodie event from the Laguna Beach Visitors & Conference Bureau runs today through Sunday and includes “world-class cuisine, prix fixe menus, food & wine pairings, cooking demonstrations by renowned local chefs, and exceptional offers by local restaurateurs.”  The “experience” starts tonight with “Taste of California,” at Laguna Culinary Arts. This event features wine tastings by 20 wineries along with appetizers prepared by Culinary Arts students. Tickets are $60 at the door, but be sure to call first because admission is limited to 500 persons -- (949) 497-9229.

A number of Laguna Beach restaurants will have special menus, parings, and prix fixe offerings during the four nights of the “experience.” Participating restaurants listed on the a la Carte flyer include: Brussels Bistro, Café Zoolu, C’est La Vie, Claes, The Cottage  Restaurant, Dizz’s As Is, Eva’s Caribbean,  KitchenGG’s, Café Bistro, Gina’s Pizza and Pastaria, Hennessey’s Tavern, House of Big Fish and Ice Cold Beer, K’ya Bistro  Bar, Nirvana Grille, Polina’s Salerno Italian Restaurant, Rock’n Fish, Splashes Restaurant, Sundried Tomato, Tabu Grill, Ti Amo Ristorante, Tommy Bahama, Laguna Beach, Watermarc Restaurant, The White House, Laguna Culinary Arts, Las Brisas, The Loft at Montage Laguna Beach, Lumberyard, Madison Square & Garden, and Café Mozambique.
