Stay at Casa Laguna and Enjoy Dana Wharf's Live Music Harbor Cruise

Back around Father’s Day we told you about Dana Wharf’s new Live Music Harbor Cruise aboard the Dana Pride, and we just wanted to remind you that you can still make reservations for any Saturday through the end of September. You can contact them directly at 1.800.979.3370 or make online reservations at http://www.danawharf.com; or better yet, just tell us you want to book a cruise when you make your reservation with Casa Laguna Inn & Spa, and we’ll handle it from there.  The 95-foot Dana Pride has both upper deck seating and a large inside galley, featuring a full bar including wine, beer, and mixed drinks. Price includes a complimentary glass of Pride Punch! This cruise is on Saturdays only, and is limited to adults 18 and over. And don’t forget Dana Wharf’s historical sightseeing tour of Laguna Beach on Saturdays and Sundays. You can get a brief glimpse of this tour by watching Casa Laguna’s exclusive video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjMf6ovXgDg

Late Evening Tapas and Martinis at Sorrento

One of our favorite places to grab a drink and a light supper is Sorrento Grill, in downtown Laguna Beach. During the off-season, we were there at least once a week for their half-price 5-7PM happy hour. Now that the festivals are in full swing and many of the downtown restaurants are packed with tourists early in the evening, Sorrento has moved their happy hour post-sundown, when the downtown sidewalks clear out a bit and many people are enjoying the Pageant of the Masters. Sorrento has $3, $5 & $7 food & drink specials Sunday through Thursday from 8PM to closing, and Friday - Saturday from 9PM to closing. From their "Small Plates" Menu, we love the Grilled Lamb Chopsicles and the Herb Shrimp. We've always been fans of the James Bond "Vesper" martini, which is very hard to find in Orange County, and the guys at Sorrento make it perfectly. You can take a look at a representative menu on their website http://sorrento-grille.com but keep in mind the menu does change and you'll always find something new and delicious, whether you go for happy hour or a full blown dinner.
