Beaches and Coves - Laguna Beach is famous for its miles of white sand beaches. Beautiful Victoria Beach is a short stroll from Casa Laguna and is known for its soft white sand, beautiful blue-green water, impressive residences (old and new) and its famous residents. Moss Point sits just to the north of Casa Laguna. Moss point offers a close-up look at marine wild life and nature's progress in its tide pools, sheer cliffs and rock formations. Further north are Laguna's Main Beach and Heisler Park. Main Beach is the center of the "Beach Life" in Laguna with the famous Lifeguard Headquarters Station surrounded by volleyball and basketball courts, art exhibits, craft festivals and all activities related to the ocean (snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, etc...). Heisler Park winds along the most scenic cliffs on the California Coast. A walk through the park offers the observer prime examples of the natural architecture, flora and fauna of the California Coast. To the south of this Laguna Beach, CA hotel is Thousand Steps Beach which offers great body surfing, skim boarding and volleyball courts. Treasure Island Park is also nearby. Favorites in town also include K’ya, the extraordinary alternative restaurant-bar, the sundried tomato café, another institution located in the heart of the village and the more elegant French 75 with its champagne and martini bar. For lunch, both Madison Square & Garden and Café Zinc delight locals as well as visitors.

It is our pleasure to assist guests with reservations. A portfolio of menus is available in the Mission House Library. Many of the best local restaurants deliver to the Casa Laguna Hotel. Guests may wish to enjoy a leisurely meal in their room or on one of the secluded patios around the hotel. On request, picnic baskets can also be prepared.

Wine Tasting – Yes, wine tasting in Orange County! Thirty minutes from Casa Laguna is an excellent, family owned vineyard and winery. Hamilton Oaks has been producing great wines since 1993.

Art Galleries - Having developed as an "Artist's Colony," Laguna has a long heritage of outstanding local artists and craftspeople exhibiting their creations. There are many specialized galleries which focus on a particular artist, medium or subject. On the first Thursday of the month, over forty galleries offer extended hours, snacks and refreshments during "Art Walk", a monthly event where new arrivals and the "best of the best" are featured in a festive and social atmosphere. Be sure to check out the Casa Laguna collection of fine art in the Plein Air tradition. This Laguna Beach hotel was recently the headquarters for a weeklong workshop given by the Plein Air Painters of America. Casa Laguna is very proud of its heritage and association with the local art scene.

Pageant of the Masters and Festival of Arts - A tradition in Laguna Beach since 1932. The Pageant is "tableau vivant" presentations of works of The Masters. A unique experience not to be missed. The Pageant runs nightly July 1 through August 31. Festival of Arts

The Laguna Playhouse - An award-winning, critically acclaimed professional theater company, the West Coast's oldest, offers a Main stage and a Youth Theater season year-round.

Villa Rockledge - Casa Laguna Bed and Breakfast is directly across Coast Highway from Villa Rockledge, Frank Miller's historic beachfront estate. In addition to the Mission Inn in Riverside, California, Mr. Miller built Villa Rockledge in Laguna Beach. Both the Mission Inn and Villa Rockledge are now National Historic Landmarks. The Casa Laguna's Mission House is believed to have been built as part of Villa Rockledge. Current research and heritage documentation are available in the Mission House Library.

Weddings and Special Events: The Casa Laguna has been the setting for many weddings, commitment ceremonies, special events, corporate retreats, meetings and conferences. Outdoor events among our beautiful gardens, overlooking the blue Pacific Ocean are very popular. Our Library meeting facility provides the quiet seclusion and technology components that make a business meeting as productive as possible. As each event at Casa Laguna is individual and unique we have no wedding or event “packages”.

Meetings and Conferences: Our meeting facility, The Library, can be configured to accommodate up to 12 participants around flexible conference tables or up to 20 participants in a classroom/lecture format. The Library is air-conditioned and is wired for high-speed Internet access. The Library features a large screen television with VCR and DVD players. Complimentary beverage service is provided throughout the day (coffee and tea service in the morning, sodas and water in the afternoon).
